The Divine Blue Bindu: The House of the Self
God, the eternal nourisher of the universe, resides within us, in a house as small as a sesame seed—the Blue Bindu. This divine point, though only the size of a pearl, exists within our Sahasrara. This Bindu is the container of all that exists, the seat of the Supreme Consciousness. Within this sacred point, God exists as the Supreme Self—the eternal, omniscient presence that permeates all living beings. The Blue Bindu holds within it not only the physical universe, but the three worlds: heaven, human realms, and hell. Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva, the three Lords of creation, preservation, and dissolution, all come and go through the Blue Bindu, and this is their dwelling place. From His home within the Blue Bindu, in unity, God assumes the role of the Witness. The supra-causal body, beyond the void, is within the Blue Bindu.
The Blue Bindu is the sacred abode of the Self, the vessel in which the Divine Mother Kundalini, the Shakti of transformation and awakening, meets the devotee. With the Blue Bindu as her residence, she ignites the flame of spiritual insight, drawing the seeker closer to divine realization.
The Journey Inward: Experiencing the Blue Bindu
Through deep meditation, the seeker begins to perceive the Blue Bindu as a powerful presence in their inner vision. Initially, it may appear as a fleeting flash of light as the Blue Bindu emerges like lightening from the eyes, illuminating everything around it. As one continues to meditate, this Blue Bindu expands in brilliance and intensity, eventually flooding the entire space with its radiant energy. It is no longer just a point, but a vast, glowing expanse of divine light that transcends the limitations of form and space. Where the void comes to an end, the Blue Bindu, pure, sparkling, and radiant, is the great place of the Conscious Self.
In the upper sahasrara, there is a blue star in which we are able to travel to many astral worlds. When this star explodes in meditation, our cycle of birth and death is broken, and the bondage of karma is cut. This is the dawning of Cosmic Consciousness. In Cosmic Consciousness, the Witness (the Self) watches our states of waking, dreaming and deep sleep. To reach Cosmic Consciousness, jivanmukta, and freedom from rebirth, we must have the vision of the Blue Bindu, but this does not mean we have achieved Divine perfection, final realization. For this we must enter the Blue Bindu and receive the vision of God in form, and then the three visions of God, Guru and Self.
Devotion and love carry us to the next phase of enlightenment. Within the Blue Binu resides the Blue Lord. The radiant Blue Bindu, standing before us, comes closer and begins to grow. It assumes the shape of an egg and continues to grow into a human shape. Suddenly a Divine Radiance bursts forth from it. For a moment, we may lose consciousness, but then intuitive intelligence returns. We can see, within the radiance, a Blue Person. His blueness shines and scintillates. His body is composed of rays of pure Consciousness. He stands before us and speaks to us:
The Teachings of the Divine Within the Blue Bindu
“I am within you, and you are within Me.”
The Divine Being reveals that the worshipper and the worshipped are one, removing the false distinction between the devotee and God. The seeker realizes that they were never separate from the Divine but had only perceived duality due to ignorance. This is the essence of Advaita (non-duality)—that the Supreme Consciousness pervades all, and the Self (Atman) is none other than Brahman, the Absolute Reality..
“I see everything, everywhere, through all eyes, all senses.”
The devotee perceives the all-pervading nature of God, who is simultaneously personal and impersonal, within and beyond the universe. Every experience, every being, and every moment is an expression of the Divine, and the boundaries between the individual and the cosmos begin to dissolve.
“I walk without feet, grasp without hands, speak without a tongue, and see without eyes.”
This cryptic yet profound teaching reminds the seeker that God is beyond all limitations, acting through all beings while remaining unattached. The devotee realizes that the Divine is not bound by form, function, or any physical attribute—it is pure, unchanging Consciousness. This teaching leads the seeker beyond identification with the body and mind, toward recognition of their eternal nature.
“While I am far away, I am also nearer than the nearest.”
The devotee comes to understand that God is never separate, as the seeker turns inward and recognizes the Supreme Self (Atman) within. The divine presence is closer than breath, nearer than thought, existing as the very essence of one’s being; the true Self.
“I become the many from the One, and the One from the many.”
Here, the mystery of Maya (illusion) and Brahman (absolute reality) is revealed. The universe is an expression of the One, yet the One remains unchanged. All forms, all beings, and all experiences arise from the Divine, yet the Divine transcends them all. The devotee sees that everything—both manifest and unmanifest—is God as Shiva and Shakti (Consciousness and Its Power) in the eternal dance of unity and multiplicity.
After imparting these revelations, the Divine Form begins to withdraw, shrinking back into the Blue Bindu, reducing once again to a single point of radiant light. The devotee experiences a profound sense of merging, as the personal dissolves into the infinite, and the Blue Bindu becomes all-encompassing.
At this moment, the individual self dissolves, and what remains is pure, boundless Consciousness—the state beyond name and form, beyond time and space. This is the threshold of liberation (moksha), where all distinctions disappear, and the seeker enters the vast God Consciousness.
The Blue Bindu, now understood as the seed of all creation and the doorway to the Infinite, remains ever-present in the inner vision of the awakened one, a reminder that the Supreme Self is always here—unmoving, eternal, and radiant beyond measure.
With this vision, we gain the realization of the Blue One within. He will appear as the God of our devotion. The Blue Bindu is our own Self, the One who lives within all, pervading the entire universe, who is One without a second, non-dual, undifferentiated and yet is always at play becoming many from one and one from many. We realize that He, through whose grace maya becomes known as the manifestation of the Lord, is our Self appearing as the Blue Bindu.
The Blue One, within the Blue Bindu, who spreads light through the whole world, who is the pure transcendental witness of all, the unchanging Being, the unchanging Truth, is our inner Self. But there is one more step to complete enlightenment.
The Final Merging into the Blue Bindu
In a moment of profound samadhi, the Blue Bindu reveals its true nature. As our consciousness merges with this radiant point, we witness the unfolding of the universe in its purest, most pristine form. The heavens, the earth, the entire cosmos appear to emanate from this Blue Light as the divine essence spreads out in every direction. Within this light, the guru manifests, embodying the divine teachings. God, in his purest form, appears as a being made entirely of Blue Light, radiating the stillness of the unchanging truth. And then, in a sacred transformation, the seeker sees themselves within the Blue Bindu, recognizing their own divine nature and eternal essence. With the vision of God, Guru and Self as One, our realization of the unity of Brahman Consciousness begins to dawn.
