There is a natural drive in our mind that seeks true and captivating love. The mind remains restless all the time as it yearns to come home to that absolute love. The mind seeks it in the outside world and in other people and it never finds the equanimity of love that it seeks. So, our minds are constantly finding something seemingly satisfying outside, becoming restless and moving from one restless place to the next restless place.
There is a great quest behind the mind’s restlessness, seeking perfect repose. Only when the mind dissolves into the supreme Self do we find true love, true equanimity, true stillness. Only when we become one with the inner light will we find what we seek. When we become absorbed in absolute love, in stillness, will we become the incarnation of bliss.
It is only in God that this repose lies. When we know God within, we find the steadiness we seek, the love we seek, the worth we seek. We find everything and the mind becomes steady and peaceful. It is our mind’s restlessness that sets us on the path of realization, searching for the true Self, seeking God. It is only in God that the mind becomes still.
When we feel restless, realize what is happening. Our restlessness is grace. We are searching for God.
Blessings,
