Our Biggest Mistake

We have taken our conditioning, our created identity, our beliefs, our habits and our judgments and turned them into reality. Our mistake is in taking this for ultimate reality, like the dreamer thinking that nothing is real except his dream.

This has become our hatreds, opinions, unworthiness, justifications and rejections. This is generally true for all of us; the liberal and the conservative, the atheist and the religious, the worldly and the spiritual. Every opinion, every belief, every justification and every viewpoint are colored by our conditioning, our created identity, our fears, our beliefs, our habits and our judgments. What this means is that our ego creates a false reality and we take it as our truth. Then we proselytize that created truth to prove our rightness.

We have all become dreamers believing that our dream is the ultimate reality. But what we see as our reality is actually a constructed dream. This ends in wars, be they religious, cultural, personal, philosophical or military. We must prove and defend our correctness.

When we realize, remember, reveal our true Self, our true unified consciousness, our pure Godhead, then we awaken from our dream. Then the conditioning, fears, false identities and beliefs dissolve and what remains is stillness, awareness itself. The mind becomes silent. The viewpoints, judgments and opinions stop and become motionless. We become the flame in a windless place. The mistake of thinking that nothing is real except our created dream ends.

Then there is acceptance, love, connection and peace. Then we create the place where only compassion arises. When we remember the Self, remember God, we become the vehicle for God to act through us, for God has become us in order to act and revel in His play of consciousness.
