The Transcendent

You experience 3 states of consciousness on a regular basis; waking, dreaming and deep sleep. These are changing, relative states of consciousness.

There is a fourth state of consciousness that underlies the three relative states. It is beyond the 3 relative states and this fourth state always exists. It is not relative. It is absolute, meaning it is always existing. It transcends the 3 relative states and is called turia (sometimes spelled turiya).

When you bring your awareness to subtler and subtler states of awareness and transcend thought, what you discover is pure awareness, consciousness alone, silence without thought. That state is Turia.

That state of pure consciousness is pure existence, pure understanding, un-manifested. It is pure “I”. This is the level of absolute pure Being that underlies all of existence. This is the level of un-manifested reality. It is the transcendent; beyond creation. It is undifferentiated and without attributes. It is the essential constituent of all that exists. It is pure silence, eternal, unmoving and un-manifested existence and understanding (Paramashiva).

It is neither matter nor energy. It is beyond time, space and causation. It is pure consciousness. It is vibrationless.

The Impersonal aspect of God

The Transcendent

When I speak about you being divine, about the light of God being within you, that the kingdom of heaven lies within, I am speaking about Being; pure awareness, pure existence, pure consciousness, pure understanding – Turia. This is the impersonal aspect of God that underlies all of creation and is your essential nature that you can experience in the transcendent.

God has 2 aspects – impersonal and personal. The impersonal absolute aspect of God is without attributes and the personal aspect of God is relative with all attributes. The absolute aspect of God is pure Being. Everything in creation arises from the un-manifested aspect of the impersonal God. Every relative, ever-changing, created part of the manifested world arises from the impersonal, unchanging God. This is God as Supreme Being, un-manifested consciousness. The nature of the impersonal God is to create, to exist and to expand. In the sense that it is all that exists, it is the creator, maintainer and sustainer of the world, but it does not do anything or have any attributes because it is pure consciousness. It is beyond all relative life. It is transcendental consciousness: Turia.

Each individual person is the light of God, impersonal, absolute Being – the radiation of the eternal Supreme Being.

When you are disconnected from Being, disconnected from the state of Turia (the state of transcendental consciousness), you are cut off from your foundation; Source. There always exists that silent, unmoving, always stable, essential part of you. It generally remains hidden, veiled.

This is absolute consciousness. It is why you can be aware. It is why animals can be aware. It is why angels can be aware. But your awareness is limited because you are disconnected from your divine pure consciousness – Turia. It is not being aware of something, some object, or some idea. It is simply pure “I” awareness.

Enlightenment, realization and remembrance are you re-connecting to knowing your Source, Being, Turia. Higher states of consciousness depend upon the extent of this connection. The Enlightenment Course is about experiencing and understanding Being and the states of consciousness that result from expanded remembrance and revelation of pure awareness; Being. The Enlightenment Course is also about raising your vibrational frequency to be in alignment with these higher state of consciousness.

The Transcendent

The Transcendent

Pure Being, Existence, is abstract, never changing, absolute. That which exists in the relative, created world is concrete and always changing. The transcendental state means it is beyond, it transcends created reality. It is the foundation of all the relative created states of life.

In you there is the concrete, created, relative aspects; body, mind, thinking, acting, behaving, experiencing. All aspects of the created universe are in this relative category. In you there is also a level of Being, a level of pure consciousness, that underlies all creation. It is the source of all creation, all feeling all thinking, but it lies beyond all creation. It is the witness, the observer, the watcher. It is the Self.

It is the Self, pure consciousness that underlies everything in creation. It is the pure awareness that lies between 2 thoughts. It is the pure consciousness that is entered after the mind transcends all experience of relative creation. It is the unmoving awareness that exists after you reach the finest vibrational frequency in creation and surrender into the absolute, transcending that finest vibration. The transcendent is Turia.

Universal Law

The Transcendent

The mind is usually focused outwardly. That is mainly because you have senses whose purpose it is to gather information from the outside world. You also have an ego whose purpose is to relate what the mind experiences to the outside world. And you have a society that has not trained you to turn your awareness within. So you end up perpetually focused outside yourself.

When awareness is turned within, then there is a chance to discover, to reveal, the source of your actions, the source of your thoughts, the source of your feelings and the source of creation. It is also the source of existence and the source of all intelligence. And it is from this source that all power, all energy issues forth. Relative life is created, is maintained and evolves to its highest state and then dissolves and is destroyed. But the essential, absolute nature of life remains never-changing and eternal. Being is your foundation. That is Turia.

From this strata of life arise the laws of nature. From this strata of life arises all of creation and relative life. Being is the source of the plane of cosmic law from which arises all the laws of nature – the rules that govern the purpose, the creation, maintenance and dissolution of the universe. This is the cosmic intelligence that governs your life and the evolution and expansion of the universe. Cosmic law functions from the level where the absolute and relative planes of life meet; the finest relative. The benefit of contact with this field of life is that by connecting to this plane of life all the laws of nature support and play out in your life in full alignment with cosmic evolution and expansion. Through evolution and expansion your egoic will becomes the divine will. You fully and in complete alignment with the divine live out your destiny. Your limited state of consciousness becomes an enlightened state of consciousness.

It is the Self, pure consciousness that underlies everything in creation. It is the pure consciousness, Turia, the Self that is realized after the mind transcends all experience of relative creation. It is the unmoving awareness that exists after you reach the finest vibrational frequency in creation and surrender into the absolute, transcending that finest vibration.

Transcendental Consciousness

The Transcendent

Being is the un-manifested reality that is experienced as bliss consciousness. It is the source of all feeling, thinking and doing. Being lies beyond relative existence where the experiencer is fully awake, fully aware without experiencing any object. The conscious mind experiences pure consciousness; One without a second.

When the conscious mind goes beyond relative existence it reaches a state of pure consciousness, the source of all thinking, all intelligence, all power and energy. This is pure creative intelligence, the existence and intelligence of the impersonal aspect of God, and you are capable of experiencing this state of transcendental consciousness, turia, when your mind transcends the relative creation – when it becomes completely silent. It is the foundation and the ground of your life. Turia is Presence, impersonal God, and it is your pure consciousness.

The relative and the transcendent

The Transcendent

Reality extends from the un-manifested, pure consciousness to the manifested, relative creation. Everything arises from pure Being. All thoughts and breath arise from pure, transcendental consciousness; Turia. If our attention were directed within and could follow creation from gross to subtle levels, from the relative to the absolute level, it could eventually rest in transcendental consciousness. If we could align our vibrational frequency to finer, higher, subtler and more refined frequencies, then we could resonate with finer levels of creation, more expanded levels of creation. We could, in all cases, eventually go beyond the finest, subtlest breath, the finest, subtlest impulse of thought or the finest, highest vibrational frequency, transcend them, and experience pure, transcendental consciousness; turia.

But to do this on your own you would need a vehicle; the breath, a thought, a sound, a sense, a vibration to follow from the gross to subtle. That is why we practice pranayama or breath meditation or mantra meditation; to allow our effortless attention to rest on the breath or mantra and follow it back to its source, to allow our effortless attention to rest on the prana or sound value of the mantra and follow it back to its source.

Everything is the Impersonal God

The Transcendent

Each individual, in his true, essential nature, is the impersonal God. The absolute, impersonal aspect of God is experienced as bliss. It is absolute, bliss consciousness. When we try to discover ways to reach this level of realization and experience, the fact that Being is experienced as bliss becomes critical. If we want to follow a sensory perception, a sound, a mantra, a breath, a vibration, to its subtlest form – its initial impulse into creation, the finest relative – there must be something that draws the mind to that subtle level. That something is bliss. When the mind enters a state of allowing, of effortlessness, of easeful non-resistance, and it gently holds attention on a high vibration or is immersed in a high vibration, the mind is drawn to Source, the impersonal aspect of God, because that is bliss and the mind is attracted to bliss. As the mind gets closer to God, the mind experiences this increasingly higher vibration of divinity as increasing bliss.

There is the experiencer and that object which is experienced through the mind. Everything in relative realty is a vibration so we can call all objects of experience a vibration. To reach the transcendental field of impersonal God we must follow the vibration (or immerse ourselves in the highest vibration) to its most subtle manifestation and then go beyond it, transcend it, leaving us with pure consciousness. We must go beyond the mind and that vibration being experienced (thought), beyond the finest relative, beyond the highest vibration, and rest in pure Being. We are left with pure experience. This is a state without thought; Turia – transcendental pure awareness.

Being as the foundation of reality

The Transcendent

Being, pure consciousness, pure awareness, the Self is the ultimate reality of creation. It is present in all of creation because it is the foundation and substance of all of creation, in everything and everywhere. It permeates everything. It is the omnipresent divine.

Consciousness is the radiation from the center of pure Being. As light radiates from a lightbulb, pure consciousness radiates from Being. It is the essential constituent of the universe. It is the source of all that is; light, sound, energy, feelings, thought, action and matter.

It is called absolute, it is Turia because it is everywhere, at every time, in every way, as the only essence of all that is. It is the silent, deep ocean – and the relative, created universe is the wave.

The value of immersion in the Transcendent

The Transcendent

When we experience oneness in the transcendent state of turia it is simply Being, Presence, silent pure consciousness. It, in itself, has no practical value in life. There is no doing, no knowing of anything. It is pure knowingness, pure existence. Its practical value lies in bringing it into activity.

This is where the analogy of dyeing the cloth becomes important. We dye the cloth and in order to set the dye, we place it in the sun to fade, but some dye in locked in. We consistently, repetitively, dip the cloth and fade it. Eventually more and more dye is permanently set in and the cloth is fully dyed.

When we engage in repeated immersion in the highest vibrational frequency and dip ourselves repeatedly in the oneness of the impersonal God, we, little by little, retain the higher vibration, the increasing bliss and the experience of oneness. Then we fade the experience in activity – but some of that expanded experience remains. When we repeat this over and over the experience of God, the experience of our divinity and oneness, becomes fully integrated into our activity. We bring the transcendent state and the relative states of waking, dreaming and deep sleep together. Then Turia is always present in our awareness. Our foundation of Being is permanently there, witnessing, observing, watching our activity, our sleep and our dreams.

Being, Turia, is the Supreme Being, impersonal God. By bringing turia into relative life we merge the human and divine.

To live a full, powerful, expanded life it is necessary to consciously experience this level of your Being – this level of pure intelligence and existence. It is the pure intelligence, the creative intelligence that is the basis of all natural law (laws of nature) at the basis of creation. To be fully supported in your thinking and activity you must connect to universal intelligence.

The full range of life

The Transcendent

The full field of Being ranges from the un-manifested, absolute state to the relative ever-changing states of phenomenal life. This is like the silent, unmoving depths of the ocean and its roaring, ever-changing waves on the surface. Being is never changing in its absolute state and ever-changing in its relative state. The relative outer existence is simply an expansion of the absolute omnipresent Being.

This is like water, ice and vapor being in different forms but always essentially, never changing, absolute H2O. The H20 is exhibiting different qualities while always remaining H20. This is unity in diversity, a unified field. The absolute is full and the relative is full. It is Brahman; the absolute and relative aspects of Being.

The coming of Enlightenment

The Transcendent

What is enlightenment? Knowing your essential Self. Knowing you are God. Oneness

Each state of consciousness, each state of enlightenment, has its own distinct physiological state in the nervous system – and observable, vibrational state. Turia has no vibration because it is beyond even the finest vibration, beyond mantra, beyond breath, beyond what exists in relative creation. It is existence, pure consciousness, pure impersonal God and pure awareness.

In itself, it is not enlightenment but it is the foundation of enlightenment. It is the essential constituent of all that is.

  1. Cosmic Consciousness

When we bring Turia, transcendental consciousness into permanent conscious awareness while we are in the waking, deep sleep or dream states, that is Cosmic Consciousness and that is the first full state of enlightenment.

  1. God Consciousness

When we refine our ability to perceive the light of God in the relative manifested world and directly perceive the personal God, then that is God Consciousness, the second phase of enlightenment. That is the state of knowing both the impersonal and personal aspects of God, side by side.

  1. Unity Consciousness

When we fully integrate and merge the Absolute and the relative, Being and action, the Un-manifest and manifest, the Absolute and relative, The Divine and human together, that is the initial form of Unity Consciousness – oneness.

When you expand that oneness to include all past, present, future, and space, that is Brahman Consciousness, complete realization, complete enlightenment.

And that can be brought to birth on earth.

God Consciousness

The Nectar of Enlightenment

God’s personal aspect

God Consciousness

Cosmic Consciousness is the state where turia – transcendental, absolute consciousness – is permanently infused into your conscious experience. The impersonal God, pure consciousness becomes the witness of all relative activity.

Prana is the nature of the Divine to create. When prana is activated then the un-manifested impersonal God assumes the role of the creator. The un-manifested awareness, pure consciousness, assumes the role of creative intelligence. Creative intelligence has two main aspects: consciousness and power (energy). There is now a ‘relationship’ with itself and the slightest differentiation occurs within the un-manifested awareness.

This is the creation of vibration within absolute, pure consciousness. This is the creation of the finest relative aspect of creation, the personal God, God the creator, sustainer and destroyer. Supreme Being has become Almighty God.

The impersonal becoming self-aware

God Consciousness

When the impersonal aspect of God, transcendental consciousness, becomes aware of itself, turns consciousness upon itself, the impersonal God becomes Self-aware. When Self-recognition happens the existence and understanding of the impersonal God (the Absolute) becomes the creative intelligence and power of the personal God.

When consciousness touches something it has an effect upon the object. It begins to warm, to vibrate. In Self-recognition, the un-manifested absolute has become the subtlest vibration. But even as it becomes creative and becomes the relative creation, it maintains its status as the un-manifested absolute presence, pure Being, the impersonal God.

The experience of the impersonal God is on the transcendental, absolute level, beyond thought and the senses. The experience of the personal God is on the finest relative level, and is known through the senses, mind and feelings; through perception. For you to realize the impersonal aspect of God you must transcend all relative experience. For you to realize the personal aspect of God you must refine your senses and subtle psychic instruments to be able to perceive all strata, all levels, of relative life.

This initial creative process is Consciousness becoming conscious -pure consciousness becoming conscious of itself. It is pure experience becoming the experiencer of itself. It is pure understanding, understanding itself. Knowingness becomes the knower of Itself. The light of God shines within itself. This is the finest level of manifestation.

The absolute impersonal God is eternal, un-manifested, but the personal God, residing at the finest relative strata of creation is not eternal. At the end of time, with the dissolution of the universe, the personal God merges back into the impersonal God. The cycle of creation, evolution and dissolution is infinitely going on. After dissolution, he re-emerges back into creation and the process repeats itself.

Knowing God’s personal aspect

God Consciousness

Bringing attention to something is the way to realize it. Realization of the impersonal aspect of God comes from bringing your attention to the transcendental level of life. Realizing the personal aspect of God comes from having a clear experience of the finest relative strata of manifested life, perceived through refined senses. At the finest relative level of life resides the personal God and this level is perceivable in God Consciousness. In God Consciousness the absolute is fully experienced as the witness and the relative is experienced as the light of God. In God Consciousness, with the senses so refined, all of relative existence glows with the light of God and you are capable of seeing the light of God in everything.

God Consciousness

God Consciousness

The personal aspect of God has form, qualities, features and likes. It resides at the highest, subtlest, finest strata of relative creation. God is no longer It, impersonal consciousness. God has become He or She – personal. His/Her senses and mind are all powerful. His mind knows everything, throughout all time, at once. His eyes see everything, throughout all time, at once. He is the 5 powers of creation, maintenance, dissolution, concealment and grace. He is Brahma (the creator), Vishnu (the maintainer) and Shiva (the destroyer). He is time and space and mind. He is the powers of perception and action and all the elements. He is relative and at the end of creation merges back into the impersonal aspect of God.

The personal God creates all the relative creation out of his intelligence and power. All strata of relative existence emerge from his consciousness, made of his consciousness, within his consciousness.

God Consciousness is accomplished through the refinement of the senses, intellect, mind and ego to the point where all senses and subtle psychic instruments can perceive all levels of creation, including the finest relative level, the personal God. In the state of God Consciousness all existence, absolute and relative, are perceptible. You have the full experience of absolute existence and relative existence, from pure consciousness to the finest relative of the personal God to every other created level.

This expanded experience is available mainly through the refinement of the senses and subtle psychic instruments of the mind. Each sense has the ability, when operating fully, to perceive all aspects of relative existence, from the personal God to all the rest of creation. In God Consciousness you know both the impersonal and the personal aspects of God. The devotee meets the Lord like gold merging with its luster.

The finest relative

God Consciousness

As personal God, he can appear in whatever form is pleasing or appropriate to the situation or devotee.

God stands with one foot in the absolute and one foot in the relative as the creator. The “I” that has become “I am” in His Self-recognition and then has become “I am This” as it becomes the relative creation.

The personal aspect of God is the highest level of creation and evolution. He is the highest intelligence, peace, energy, and bliss. He is all-powerful, all-joyful, all-mighty. He can do, be and understand everything. He has the perfect senses, the perfect mind, perfect intellect, perfect ego and perfect personality. He controls all of creation.

The impersonal aspect of God is omnipresent Being, the personal aspect of God is relative and in time, space and causation. Knowing the impersonal aspect of God happens only on the level of the transcendent while knowing the personal aspect of God happens only on the relative sensory level of creation – the finest relative – in the waking state.

Awareness of all of creation

God Consciousness

In God Consciousness the formless, absolute now appears in form as you. Silence has become vibrant, the inexpressible is expressed personally as you. Cosmic life is breathed by the individual. You become the love of God expressing because you exist on the level of both the personal and impersonal divine God. You become an impulse, the spanda of eternal life in this realm.

In God Consciousness the formless, absolute, vibrationless transcendent stands side by side with the entire relative, vibrational, existence. But they have not merged. There still remains a trace of separation.

At the lowest level of evolution there is the inert level of creation. From there different species evolve and creation develops in intelligence, power and joyfulness. The progressive scale of evolution continues through the different species of plants, animals, humans and angels. At the highest level of evolution is the personal God whose power, intelligence and joy is unlimited. He is all-knowing, all powerful, all blissful. He can be, do and understand everything. His senses, mind, intellect and ego are the most powerful.

In God Consciousness this power, intelligence and bliss have merged into you and operate through you. You hold the ability to know all of relative life if you wish to. You operate on the level of divinity and the will of the divine. You hold the complete state of Being and all strata of relative existence. Your feelings and mind can know the personal and impersonal aspects of God.

Love

God Consciousness

The initial impulse, spanda, of the divine into relative existence is experienced internally as the love of the personal aspect of God. This is universal love and it is possible to experience this level of universal love in a concentrated form within yourself when you are in contact with this finest level of creation.

This is the level of devotion, because you directly experience it on the subtlest level, as universal unbounded love. An individual, in a state of God Consciousness, has an unlimited, overflowing, cosmic love flowing in all directions for everything. This love is the ultimate fulfillment to life. This divine love of the personal God is beyond any relative love you could ever experience in relationships. It becomes unbounded love flowing at the sight, sound, smell, taste or touch of everything.

God’s will

God Consciousness

All of creation is controlled by the personal God. All the laws of nature are controlled by his will. He has arranged the entire creation, and the whole process of evolution to operate automatically – in complete harmony and conformity with all the laws of nature. It is his will that is destiny. He has set out creation to fully remember himself through you and that pre-determined destiny is automatically playing out. At the beginning of time the entire play of consciousness, the creation, evolution and dissolution is mapped out in the mind of God and plays out exactly in accordance with his will.

Everything that happens in your life is this will of the personal God. This cosmic play, this destiny, is unfolding perfectly in accordance with his pre-determined plan. He has become you, created you out of his consciousness and energy, and your life is his will playing out.

The whole field of relative existence is governed by the laws of nature functioning in perfect harmony, automatically, with God’s will. Before he became creation the personal God envisioned his creation and now that vision is playing out. In a sense, you are remembering that vision of life in God’s mind and watching it unfold.

On the level of the freed individual there is no free will or choice. That exists only as an illusion of the individual, separate ego. That may sound like you have been cast in a slave-like role until you realize that you are the divine playing out your creation, made from your substance and acting out your play because you are the divine that made it all.

All of this is clear in God consciousness.

Almighty

God Consciousness

The almighty nature of the personal God lies in the perfection of his senses, mind, intellect and ego. This means that his eyes can see everything at one time, his nose will be able to smell all things and varieties at one time, his ears will be able to hear all sounds in the cosmos at once, his mind will be aware of anything on any level at any time. His intellect will be able to decide everything at any moment. All the innumerable decisions that are the apparent results of the laws of nature in the process of expansion and evolution are the decisions of the personal God. He governs and maintains the entire field of evolution and the separate lives of innumerable being in the entire cosmos. In God consciousness you can experience this finest, expanded level of existence, in any particular way that is needed to further the divine plan, which you now see clearly.

Moving into God Consciousness

God Consciousness

The almighty nature of the personal God lies in the perfect-ness of his senses, mind, intellect and ego. Your entry into God Consciousness also lies in the perfection of your senses, mind, intellect and ego. These are all the relative, manifested parts of the individual expression of God. When all these aspects of purified and brought to the vibrational frequency of the finest relative aspect of creation, you resonate on the level of the personal God and the finest relative vibration in creation. Then your senses function fully, seeing the finest relative. That means seeing the personal God. The personal God will take whatever form is most pleasing to you. It may be Krishna, Jesus or the divine mother or divine father. The personal God also appears within you as the blue bindu, the blue pearl. It stand before you and merges back into you.

You also see the light of God glowing from everything in creation because everything in creation is the manifestation of God and so glows with his blue light. The eyes, in their perfection, can see this light emanating from everything in creation.

That means smelling, tasting, touching and hearing the finest divine level of creation. You small the divine smells and hear the divine nada, the unstruck sound of om – the pulsation of the divine moving into creation.

In God consciousness the intellect and mind will see all options and possibilities. They will be in perfect harmony with God’s will and in perfect flow with the unfolding of evolution. In God consciousness the individual may not see all consequences of action at once like God does but the individual is in perfect vibrational harmony with the will of God and the laws of nature and so is the perfect vehicle for the divine in this realm.

Fulfillment

God Consciousness

God Consciousness is a state of fulfillment because it is the highest state of knowing all relative creation. Abundance, well, being, peace, love and power each reach their highest relative height. God consciousness is a state of complete vibrational attunement with the personal God. It is vibrational alignment with God. Then the all-powerful, compassionate and merciful nature of God is yours. Then the individual’s evolution and alignment with the will and nature of God is complete. This is the height of relative evolution. But this is not the highest state of enlightenment.

Realization

God Consciousness

Realization means experience. The nervous system is the physical mechanism through which the abstract mind experiences. All experience happens when the gross and subtle nervous systems adapt themselves to a specific condition. Experience arises in 2 ways. The first way is external where there is a stimulus from outside on the senses and that triggers the process in the mind which stimulates the nervous system experience. The second way is an internal, psychological, mental process that stimulates the nervous system for a particular experience.

The experience of turia, transcendental consciousness, is an experience of transcendental reality that establishes the nervous system in a particular state. It is generated from within, internally. It is a direct experience with a corresponding physiological state of nervous system.

God Consciousness is a relative experience. So there is the possibility of realizing God through understanding or feeling. These include paths of contemplation and devotion. These paths take a full life or lifetimes to accomplish. The other options are direct immersion in the transcendent and finest relative fields of life. One way to accomplish that is through techniques of meditation or pranayama. That is more direct than contemplation or devotion, but also take a significant amount of time.

Another, faster way to accomplish that is through Vibrational transformation – directly and consistently immersing yourself in the highest vibration of the finest relative and then moving into surrender, allowing yourself to transcend even that level. Then, in surrender, the individual loses himself and attains unbounded status in the impersonal God. In vibrational transformation and surrender, the river of love merges with the ocean of love that is the personal God. That is the fastest and highest path to God Consciousness. That allows the vibrational alignment with the personal God. It is divine realization through grace and surrender.

Unity Consciousness

The Nectar of Enlightenment

The unity of Brahman

Unity Consciousness

Life is Being. Being is the absolute, un-manifested state of pure awareness. It is the Supreme Being, the impersonal God. It is Being that vibrates and becomes the personal God, the manifested, created, relative reality of life. So life is absolute and relative.

In God Consciousness you experience the full absolute nature of life and you experience the full relative aspect of life side by side. You experience the impersonal and the personal aspects of God, side by side.

It is like a coin. One side is the absolute, unchanging part of life and the other side is the relative, ever-changing part of life. Brahman is the coin. Brahman is the indivisible whole – one without a second. That is unity consciousness

Merging into oneness

Unity Consciousness

Cosmic Consciousness is accomplished by immersion of the mind in transcendental pure awareness. God consciousness is accomplished through refinement of the senses, intellect, mind and ego. Unity consciousness is accomplished by time.

In God consciousness the absolute and the relative stand side by side. You see all strata of the relative as the light of God – and you experience the absolute, unmoving aspect of pure consciousness; the Self. When the Self and the entire strata of relative existence stand together side by side – when the impersonal God and the personal God stand side by side – over time they merge. The nervous system creates a new way of functioning that holds the experience of unity.

That which was separate, standing side by side, over time, merges into each other. Then separation ends. Then there is only oneness. Then what was two sides of the coin becomes the one coin. Then the absolute and the relative become Brahman.

Then unity is achieved. The blinding light of love, the greatness of intelligence and power, the separateness of individual identities are all merged into the one love of the impersonal and personal God. God is left as the devotee and the devotee is left as God. The absolute and the relative which were standing side by side, over time, melt into one.

There is nothing left to ‘do’. It is simply a function of time and relationship. What was experienced as this and that, absolute and relative, becomes one. What was experienced as side by side, with ever so slight separate identities of the absolute and relative, the personal and impersonal, melt together.

This is on the level of realization. This is a physiologically unique state in the subtle nervous system that allows for this to be experienced.

The restoration of your natural state

Unity Consciousness

In Cosmic Consciousness you realize your absolute nature and you witness all activity. You realize the impersonal God. In God Consciousness you realize all of relative life as the expression of the light of God. You realize the personal God. In Brahman Consciousness you realize the merging of the absolute and relative, the impersonal and the personal aspect of God. There is no sense of difference. The eyes may see differences but the mind, while recognizing and seeing the differences on the surface, recognizes the fullness of Being, God, Self and objects as Brahman. Separation ends and complete unity, complete oneness is restored.

What was hidden is revealed- revelation

What was not fully in the light is now fully in the light- enlightenment & illumination

What was forgotten is now remembered- remembrance

What was not clearly seen is now recognized- recognition

On the path of love the multiplicity of creation and the purpose of creation find fulfillment in unity. In the highest love, God is found in the world and the world is found in God as they merge into oneness. God created to know itself and to increase bliss. As the divine knows itself through its creation, bliss increases. There is little on the surface of life that can increase happiness. Bringing attention to the finer, subtler, more expanded fields of life and the deeper levels of consciousness are the keys to increasing bliss. When consciousness expands to the level of being both the absolute and the entire range of relative creation, and merging them, then that is the fulfillment of creation and the highest expansion of bliss and unity.

At the point of merging into Unity Consciousness the devotee has the option of completely merging into oneness or allowing for a trace of separation. This is a choice of the will of God’s compassion. This trace of separation, called leshya avidya (Leshya means trace and avidya means ignorance), is an invisible, slight film of ego allowing the subtlest sense of separation that permits the individual to remain actively worshiping God and teacher and being the bodhisattva that enlightens the world. This trace of ignorance allows the individual to maintain a functioning trace of ego to be the divine in form, for the will of God to manifest and to bring liberation to the world.

It is bliss that is the motor force for transformation, for evolution and for fulfillment. Unity consciousness is the fulfillment of bliss. In that bliss the individual has no more left to ‘do’. But the individual retains the option whether to completely merge into the state of unity or to remain as the vehicle for divine transformation. In unity consciousness the heart is completely filled with divine love and eternal bliss, and that bliss and love overflows. It is not that a person feels it on the level of the emotions or thinks it on the level of the mind. He is it. His Being is pulsating with ever-new bliss emerging out of itself onto itself.

In that oneness the individual sees the illusion of separation that people experience and sees the suffering within creation and there is the desire to remove from the world that separation and the suffering. It is the compassion of God, within himself and for himself, that creates the bodhisattva. It is the act of the compassion of God that is the expression of grace, manifesting as a bodhisattva.

In Unity consciousness this is choice because there is no longer the individual as we normally think of it. There is God knowing himself as God. There is God seeing the illusion of suffering within himself and becoming grace to end separation.

God as you

Unity Consciousness

God is called Brahman. Brahman is both the absolute and relative natures and aspects of life. Brahman is both the impersonal aspect of God as un-manifested pure consciousness and the personal aspect of God as all strata of manifested life. Brahman is 200% of life. You are Brahman as you are both pure un-manifested presence, soul, Atman, Self, and manifested body, mind and feelings.

You hold all strata of creation and the ultimate foundation of creation as pure presence. In Brahman consciousness all fields of activity and the field of pure Being are harmonized as one. Perception reaches fulfillment because inward perception of pure Being is complete and outward perception of the created world as pure Being is complete and the two have merged. The individual, separate person has become all that is; Brahman.

Only God

Unity Consciousness

At the highest level everything is one consciousness. This is Unity Consciousness. What has been united?

The absolute aspect of life and the relative aspect of life – Absolute consciousness and everything in relativity– Being and all relative creation and vibration have become united.

There is one reality; God. God is both the absolute and the relative. God is the absolute pure Being in its impersonal nature and is all creation and vibration in his personal nature.

The impersonal God is awareness itself, seeing through your eyes, as awareness itself experiencing your mind and thoughts. The light of awareness illumines the field of your mind. This Presence, this Awareness, this Being, this Consciousness is your essential nature and is the witness, the watcher. In meditation it is experienced as Presence, pure consciousness in the transcendent state beyond thought. In activity you experience this impersonal aspect of God as the witness, watching your activity and thoughts, as Presence in activity. It is pure present moment awareness. It is knowingness itself, beyond the mind and thought. Pure Being, the impersonal aspect of God, is the One-Self, the essential constituent of all, the Atman, Turia. It is the natural state of your Being.

If you enter the subtle strata of thought and go beyond thought, you experience Being, transcendental consciousness. If you enter the highest vibrational frequency in creation, and surrender, you go beyond vibration and you experience transcendental consciousness, turia. Being is all. The Absolute is all.

The personal aspect of God is both the personal God that we call on, pray to and love as God the Father, Divine Mother, and all of creation that is the extension of the personal God.

In unity consciousness the two aspects of God merge; the absolute is fully experienced as the witness and the relative is also fully experienced in its true nature as the consciousness of God. In Unity consciousness the relative creation is seen as outwardly differentiated but in addition you see the true revelation that it is the light of God as well as pure awareness, the absolute, made manifest. So Unity Consciousness holds the experience of the full absolute transcendental consciousness and the full relative existence as that same reality, as the Self. You can say God has one foot in the absolute and one foot in the relative and both are the one God.

In unity the absolute, transcendent is the Self and the relative, created is the Self. There exists no difference on the level of knowing. The senses can differentiate surface differences in form but substance remains undifferentiated Being.

Perfection

Unity Consciousness

Why does God create, hide his fullness and then reveal his fullness?

When you take a hot bath after a few minutes you don’t feel the heat anymore. You need to move, to stir up the silent water and when it moves you feel the warmth again.

In the state of the vibration-less absolute, God is impersonal and does not feel the bliss of his nature. The feeling of bliss arises from the impulse, the spanda, of movement, of creation, of expansion, of vibration. When Being emerges into the aspect of personal God and creates, he feels the movement of his bliss of expansion and evolution and so he creates his play of consciousness. There is also expansion in going from hiding his fullness to revealing his fullness – in the expansion of states of consciousness.

Entering Brahman consciousness is the perfection of God’s expansion because it is God knowing God, God remembering God, God realizing his fullness and bliss. It is creation reaching its fullest knowing. Brahman consciousness is the perfection of God’s purpose.

Complete perception

Unity Consciousness

The radiation of consciousness starts from the abstract, absolute, pure state of bliss and carries that bliss, in diminishing degrees, as it proceeds outward into manifestation. The oneness of Being, appearing in its infinite variety of creation, is an automatic projection of the reality of Being to expand bliss.

The process of perception is the result of the inner consciousness projecting outward. When that projection outward is turned upon itself, when consciousness is directed inward and the projection outwardly ceases, Self-awareness occurs. Consciousness becomes conscious.

Perception in the inward direction is the result of diminishing activity until the nervous system ceases to function and reaches a state of stillness when all vibration is transcended. The Bible says, “Be still and know that I am God”. When the mind arrives at a state of complete stillness it transcends relative creation but awareness remains. This is a state of restful alertness, where the mind’s activity ceases and pure consciousness remains. The thinking mind is reduced to the point at the source of thinking. Pure consciousness is the highest perception inwardly.

Vibrational transformation brings the mind to higher and higher states of vibrational frequency, stiller and stiller points, until in surrender, all vibration is transcended as the power of the bliss of the absolute draws the mind to complete transcendent stillness. Then the mind experiences pure consciousness and the mind is filled with the bliss and power of eternal Being. As the mind moves outwardly into activity again its activity brings the light of Being, the light of God into activity and the world. This is the high significance of action.

When the relative creation is perceived in its true light as a vibration and projection of Being through refined vehicles of perception, then the relative world is seen as pure Being made manifest. The individual experiences all strata of relative existence, from personal God to inert creation, as the light of God. This is the highest perception outwardly.

When both are completely realized as one, inward and outward full perception, the absolute and relative, then unity consciousness dawns.

The mantra of awakening

Unity Consciousness

When one is ready to enter the state of Brahman consciousness, one receives the final permission to enter oneness from their teacher through mahavakya. Mahavakya is the great saying. It is the direct transmission from the teacher to the student of the final realization in word form, as a sutra, as mantra. It is the final transmission of grace.

There are four main mahavakyas:

Tat Tvam Asi – Thou art That

Aham Brahmasmi- I am Brahman

Ayam Atma Brahma- The Self is Brahman

Prajnanam Brahma- Consciousness is Brahman

This transmission allows the student to merge into the realization that there is only Brahman, the impersonal and personal God as one consciousness, the absolute and relative as pure awareness, pure Being.

From Unity to Brahman

Unity Consciousness

The first experience of unity consciousness revolves around the melting together, the merging of the absolute and the relative.

In Cosmic Consciousness there is separateness where the absolute witnesses the relative, separate creation. In God Consciousness there is still separateness. The complete strata of relative existence and the experience of personal God is experienced side by side and separate from the absolute level of existence, the impersonal God, pure Being.

In Unity consciousness, the first phase of Brahman Consciousness, the 2 strata of life merge and are experienced as one. In the present moment of time complete connection is the reality. In this space, unity is remembered, revealed. In this instant of causation, evolution is fulfilled.

There is more. As a person experiences this unification in this time and space and causation, his realization is complete but the fullness is not. There exists a point where the realization expands to include the realization of all time, space and causation. Time, space and causation are relative, created, vibrational, relational aspects of reality. They lie at the cusp of the absolute and relative, the same place as the laws of nature. Because they are relational, that implies ‘this and that’ and separation. As unity is experienced it engulfs the relativity of time, space and causation and also merges them into oneness. Then unity consciousness becomes Brahman consciousness.

In this state a person has access to all knowledge, when required, throughout all time, space and causation because the person has now realized fullness, has now become one with all that is, was and will be. There is only now. One has become the laws of nature, time, space and causation and those things are seen as Being.

When one is That, one has control, as the divine will, of all That is. But in this state, one with God and all creation, one sees all That as God sees all That because there is now no difference. One sees all as Self; one divinity. One also sees the perfection in it.

God is all there is. Being is all there is. Consciousness is all there is. ‘That’ is all there is. In Brahman consciousness ‘That’ becomes all that we experience as the created world and all other dimensions of creation. There is no change in its substance as consciousness. It is always God becoming everything.

Creation is consciousness reducing its vibration to solidify, while always remaining consciousness. All forms and appearances remain always one consciousness. In Brahman consciousness, on the level of knowing and sensory observation, all that is created and uncreated, all that is manifest and un-manifest, is always consciousness. It moves and is unmoving. It is the wave and the ocean as one consciousness. It is the knower, the process of knowing and that which is known, all as one consciousness.

This is the impersonal and personal God, the energy and power of God, the manifestation of God as creation, made from God, existing in the ocean of God, expanding and pulsating within the ocean of God, and dissolving back into the un-manifest God. All within the consciousness of God – one ocean, never separate, no other. All God’s will, God’s existence, God’s understanding. That is the understanding and experience of Bahman consciousness.

Avatar

Unity Consciousness

When the divine plan gets out of balance, when good recedes and negativity dominates, balance must be restored. Through God’s compassion, Brahman consciousness takes birth on this earth and restores dharma. Dharma is that which supports evolution. It is the knowledge of truth. It is the energy of divine grace.

When one is in Brahman consciousness it is God knowing God. It is God in human form. When Brahman consciousness manifests in human form on earth, this is called Krishna Consciousness. Krishna consciousness is the wave of grace – the power of realization. In one point, within human form on earth, God creates a spanda, a pulsation of dharma, of righteousness, that restores the balance and renews the vibration of the entire earth.

This is a special movement of grace within a specific time and space, a special event, where the divine, from birth, is embodied in human form, for a specific mission. This mission, besides restoring dharma and righteousness, creates a permanent blessing upon all beings and all future generations by leaving the legacy of the highest teachings, the highest vibration and the ability to connect to the energy of this special incarnation as the divine incarnate; an avatar.

There are also periods where a fully realized one is empowered with a special mission of awakening consciousness. They are avataric consciousness embodied to bring an awakening to all mankind. They raise the vibration of the entire planet. They restore the power of grace in its highest expression. They become the grace bestowing power of God on earth to allow God to know God in human form by all mankind. They are not just the enlightened being giving a special technique or even kundalini awakening. They have the power and mission to place an individual in oneness, to emerge them in the highest vibration of God Consciousness and then merge them into unity. This is the one consciousness that has been in primordial manifestation of the sadguru and has emerged throughout different periods of time. He represents the instance of God completing His journey of knowing himself through the sadguru. Through him, God consciously becomes man to liberate all of mankind.
