Life is about creative intelligence flowing through us. It isn’t about outcomes, attachments and achievements. When creative intelligence ceases to flow, entropy takes over, things fall apart and dullness sets in. It’s very difficult to feel bad, depressed, negative or angry when creative intelligence is moving from stillness to expansion. The ocean of deep stillness enjoys making waves.
Be the stillness and revel in the thrill of expansion. One without the other is unbalanced and creates need. Then we grasp for balance. Without stillness and creativity, a need arises and we crave excitement, distraction and pleasure. Our minds get lost in perpetual thinking, grasping for balance and relief.
Some masters remained in stillness but what they created at the most subtle level of creation held the world together. That was their creative intelligence acting as grace, thrilling all of creation. Some great minds created amazing inventions and discoveries and their insights arose from their experience of the still essence of life.
The ones who were amazingly creative tended to fall apart when their connection to their foundation was lacking. The ones who became recluses and retreated from creative intelligence expressing through them became sad and unbalanced. But the ones who revealed their stillness and expressed their creative intelligence, the ones who knew how to be and do, found balance and bliss.
Contemplation is analyzing our state, looking deeply into that balance. A true spiritual practice is adjusting that balance, doing what is necessary to achieve the balance of stillness and creativity. When they are balanced, we discover our mind is balanced.
